Safety forces in Indian-administered Kashmir have been accused of violently beating civilians in a number of villages, within the wake of the area being stripped of its autonomy.
The Indian military has denied these allegations.
The BBC's Sameer Hashmi met a number of villagers who say they had been crushed with sticks and cables, and given electrical shocks.
